Albert Einstein’s special theory of relativity helped scientists understand the importance of viewing spacetime as a necessary four-dimensional continuum in preserving the physical laws of our local universe. However, when understanding how our universe fits into a higher spatial dimension such as God’s Omniverse, it is better to consider space and time as separate dimensional components of the all-encompassing whole.

On String Theory, a fundamental component of the GO model, this omniverse that God created is comprised of ten dimensions. There is no other option than ten, for the math “forces our hand.”[1] Of course, in our world we only experience four dimensions, three spatial dimensions and one linear dimension of time. As a result, much time and effort have been expended by physicists trying to explain the other six dimensions by imagining that they are compactified. Compactification is a term that means they are curled up and exist at every point within our spacetime universe. The original assumption was that these must be six-dimensional structures (known as Calabi-Yau manifolds),[2] since we only empirically observe 4 dimensions.

Eventually, in the early 21st century, after the work of Lisa Randall and Raman Sundrum created the RS1, then the RS2, brane models, other physicists jumped on the bandwagon and accepted the likelihood that at least one of these extra dimensions is extended or large, rather than compactified. However, that has only led them as far as accepting a fifth extended spatial dimension, leaving the other five dimensions of string theory compactified in what they call a 5-sphere. At present much of the current focus in string theory research is on Anti deSitter Space-Conformal Field Theory (AdS-CFT) and similar models that are as complex and difficult to explain as were Calabi-Yau manifolds. In early 2024, Brian Greene’s World Science Festival hosted a conversation between leaders in the field, including himself, Andrew Strominger, Edward Witten and David Gross, on the topic “Unifying Nature’s Laws: The State of String Theory.”[3] About an hour and 8 minutes into that discussion, when Dr. Greene asked Dr. Gross to provide a broad brush description of AdS-CFT, he and the other members of the panel began to chuckle at the complex burden Dr. Gross was asked to bear.[4] Unfortunately, Occam’s razor wasn’t available for him to shave the task down a bit, because unlike Gross, Occam viewed God as an ontological necessity.

On the GO model there are only three compactified dimensions, and those manifest themselves as Higgs bosons, which exhibit spherical symmetry. They are truly spheres as the average person understands them. They are 3-spheres rather than 5-spheres. However, this leaves us with a bit of a conundrum. How do we get to the ten dimensions required by string theory? Three dimensions are compactified into the form of truly spherical Higgs bosons within a scalar Higgs field that exists at every point in the universe. Four dimensions exist as the three plus one, space and time, dimensions that we are all familiar with. And one extra extended dimension is accepted through RS2, which leads to the GO model. But three plus four plus one only brings us to eight. Where are the other two dimensions that are mathematically vital for string theory? The answer is that one of them is a temporal dimension and the other is an extra extended spatial dimension.

Let me first address the extra time dimension. In the early years of the 20th century, Trinity College, Cambridge philosopher John M.E. McTaggart introduced the concepts of the A-theory and the B-theory of time, going so far as to suggest that both were inadequate and that time was actually nothing more than an illusion. On the A-theory, time was tensed, always changing, constantly in flux, and consisted of the past, the present and the future. But the ever shifting NOW made this theory untenable to McTaggart. His tenseless B-theory suggested that time was an eternally existent block of time. On the B-theory, that same NOW could no longer be relegated to a single moment. As a result, in 1908 McTaggart published his best-known philosophical work “The Unreality of Time.”[5]

Along came Charlie Dunbar Broad who had been awarded a scholarship to study at Trinity College, Cambridge between 1906 and 1910. C.D. Broad “concluded that if we accept the moving NOW, then we must postulate a second time-dimension in which events of the first time-dimension acquire and lose presentness.”[6] As Broad puts it, “If there is any sense in talking of presentness moving along a series of events, related by the relation of earlier-and-later, we must postulate a second time dimension in addition to that in which the series is spread out. An event which has zero duration, and therefore no history, in the first time-dimension, will have an indefinitely long duration and a history in the second time-dimension.”[7]

Broad’s postulate of a second time dimension should be understood using the primary definition of the word dimension as it relates to time: the extension of time in a given direction, with each subsequent temporal dimension being oriented perpendicularly to all preceding time dimensions. Broad’s second time dimension in no way implies the actual existence of other timelines parallel to, or intersecting with, our own. It simply allows an “indefinitely long duration” to exist concurrently with each event that occurs along the timeline we all experience.

There is actual evidence for this second time dimension in the copiously corroborated anecdotes presented by many people who have survived near-death experiences. Near death researcher John Burke explains the concept of a life review that many near death experiencers (NDEers) report after returning from an event that brought them temporarily face to face with Jesus.[8] In the company of Jesus they are able to re-experience many significant events that took place in their lives. At each event they have “all the time they ever needed” to both recall their thoughts at the time, and also to experience the thoughts of the others who were important in the unfolding of that event. So, there is clearly evidence for the existence of a second dimension of time, an idea considered almost a century ago but reinforced recently as more and more people feel comfortable sharing their near-death experiences.

Albert Einstein reminded us in his 1916 popular work on Relativity that, “Every reference-body has its own particular time; unless we are told the reference-body to which the statement of time refers, there is no meaning in a statement of the time of an event.”[9] Einstein compared the “reference-body” of a person walking along the center aisle of a passing train with that of a person standing on the embankment watching the train speed by while he explained his theory of special relativity in layman’s terms.

Humans, like angels, are limited to a single location in time and space. While here on Our Earth, we are away from the Lord.[10] When we die, we will be at home with the Lord,[11] in keeping with the reports of thousands of NDEers. Jesus is seen by a vast majority of those who have survived a near death experience. Did you ever wonder how this could occur in practical terms?

The reality of the omnipresence of God was made clearly known to me on Christmas morning in 2019. My family received calls, just minutes apart, that my stepmother in Florida and my wife’s father in Utah had died early Christmas morning. While dealing with the impact such devastating news had on the children at the time, I purposely made it a point to inquire as to the exact time of each death. Accounting for the time zone differences, I learned that their deaths took place only 3 minutes apart. As I considered what had occurred it dawned on me that multiple deaths can take place in various parts of the world simultaneously, yet Jesus can meet each one face to face. Jesus, as the second member of the trinity, in His resurrected body has the incommunicable attribute of omnipresence that we will never share. He can be singularly and completely present in the moment when someone dies in Nairobi while simultaneously singularly and completely present at the moment of death for someone in Anchorage.

The concept of a second time dimension was also supported during a conversation USAF Sergeant Dan Sherman experienced while working with the National Security Agency (NSA), as reported in an interview[12] with citizen journalist Jesse Michels on YouTube.[13] Sergeant Sherman recounted his experiences as an electronic intelligence specialist with NSA and Project Preserve Destiny in his book Above Black, wherein he described telepathic conversations with beings purported to be of alien origin. When one fully understands God’s omniverse it becomes clear that these intelligent entities are fallen angels, and if you pay close attention to the interview, you will realize that he is very likely communicating with angels both in Hades and in Tartarus. When Sgt. Sherman described his interactions, he said he was able to focus his mind on “a tapestry that had depth.”[14] He even described it as a “plane.” But I digress…

The evidence for a second dimension of time is not likely to cross the threshold of thinking of many modern secular physicists. In like manner, the evidence for the existence of a 5th higher extended spatial dimension, beyond even the 4th spatial dimension now accepted by many physicists, will also probably remain beyond their immediate grasp. What I find most compelling regarding this final tenth dimension of string theory lies in its importance for the Creator Himself.

Few people do this anymore, but in the past, when preparing for a long road trip, I liked to plan my route. If I were planning a trip from San Diego to San Francisco, the first thing I would do is go to AAA and get a road map of California. I’d bring it home and open it up fully on my dining room table. From my position above the map, I could see my beginning and end points clearly. Then, as I looked more closely, I could decide whether there were any points of interest along the way that I’d like to visit. This would allow me to examine the entire route for my upcoming journey. I could plan food stops, gas stops and tourist stops, so that I could confidently set out with a good approximation of my exact arrival time. From my three-dimensional position above the two-dimensional map, I was able to gain more knowledge than I would if I simply woke up one morning and began to drive. Even though I was going to experience every point along my route, I gained more knowledge of the entire journey by seeing it in toto, from a higher objective vantage point.

I think this is how Yahweh is able to view His created omniverse. In a similar manner, He is able to sit on His high, holy mountain, “whose summit is like the throne of God, is His throne, where the Holy Great One, the Lord of Glory, the perpetual King will sit when He will come down to visit the earth with goodness.”[15] He can observe all four spatial dimensions of His creation from His throne, which is one spatial dimension higher than all the rest. And thus, we have all ten dimensions necessary to explain the ten dimensions necessary for string theory’s veridicality.

When viewed from a position that is one spatial dimension higher, a much more all-encompassing perspective can be gained of the dimension below. A 3D person can see everything on a 2D map on his dining room table. Similarly, Yahweh on his 5D throne can view His entire 4D created omniverse from His high and holy throne. And we know from the accounts of many NDEers that much more of our 3D world can be seen from a spatially 4D observation point. No one who purposely omits God from his understanding of ten-dimensional String Theory will be able to truly understand it because He is its component of completion.
